Quality Charter: Ensuring Efficiency in Licensing
The Malta Tourism Authority remains committed to delivering efficient customer care services, including streamlined licensing processes for specific accommodation types.
As part of this commitment, the MTA Quality Charter ensures that applications for a Holiday Furnished Premises (HFP) licence or a Host Family licence are processed within 15 working days, provided that:
- The application is submitted with all the required documentation.
- The property meets all legislative standards upon inspection.
This initiative, in place since 1 June 2017, is overseen by the MTA’s Quality Assurance & Licensing Directorate, in collaboration with the Compliance & Regulatory Directorate. It reflects MTA’s ongoing efforts to enhance service efficiency and support the continued growth of Malta’s tourism sector.
