Record-Breaking Tourism in July and August

Malta's tourism sector is in the midst of a historic season. According to the National Statistics Office (NSO), July 2025 saw inbound tourist numbers rise by over 18% compared to last year, reaching over 385,000 visitors. This surge continued through August, cementing the summer as one of the most successful on record. The numbers show that visitors are not only arriving in greater numbers but also spending more, with July tourist expenditure exceeding €400 million. This growth underscores Malta's appeal as a premier Mediterranean destination and its ability to attract a diverse range of travellers.
