Information
As part of its commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive and secure environment, both within the organisation and across the tourism industry, the Malta Tourism Authority has established several key policies and procedures. These initiatives reflect MTA’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of equality, diversity, and data security while ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for both employees and visitors.
One of the fundamental policies in place is the Anti-Racism Standard Operating Procedure, which outlines clear guidelines and measures to prevent, address, and respond to any form of racial discrimination. This policy reinforces MTA’s stance against racism and provides a structured approach to handling incidents, raising awareness and promoting inclusivity within the tourism sector.
In parallel, the MTA’s Gender Equality Plan sets out the Authority’s strategic approach to ensuring gender balance, equal opportunities, and the elimination of gender-based disparities. This plan highlights MTA’s proactive efforts to foster a workplace and tourism industry that values diversity, supports career development for all, and creates a culture of respect and equity.
Recognising the importance of digital security in today’s technology-driven landscape, MTA has also implemented the MTA IT Department Information Security Policy Summary. This policy is designed to protect sensitive data, prevent cyber threats, and ensure compliance with best practices in information security. It provides guidelines for managing IT systems securely, safeguarding confidential information, and maintaining robust cybersecurity measures across MTA’s operations.
